Card Replacement Fee when card expires

<p>My wife banks with Capitec and I have always been very impressed with their low fees. That is until you have to renew your card then you have to pay R55. It is not like the card got lost, misplaced or ******. If it was a case of her negligence then I would completely understand the cost of replacement. I have been banking with various banks and not once did I have to pay for a new card. What other fees will they come up with to counter the low monthly fees? Please could you just explain why we need to pay for a new card?</p>
