Card replacement fee
I have been having an issue with my bankcard, sometimes transactions via POS machines go through other times it does not. Today I decided to go to the bank to change my card. But then the bank wanted to charge me. R70 replacement fee. They could not explain to me why the charges, the card is not damaged nor lost as it works on their POS machines. When I ask why it works on their POS machines and sometimes not on other merchands machines I get told it's the chip. Logically if the chip works on their machines it should work everywhere else. I refuse to pay the replacement fee for the card as it is not damaged nor is it lost. I also get informed that when the card expires then I will have to pay for the new card. Why is that? Why do you have an expiration date on cards when you want one to pay for a new card. If the card still works. This is total ****************.
