Card Got Swallowed.

I had a very bad experience today. I went to a Capitec ATM on Govan Mbeki Street (Gqeberha) to withdraw some cash using my Norraco card. I entered everything correct but my card got swallowed. Why? I was told to block my card since I won't get it back. I won't even get the cash I wanted to withdraw back. Now I have to wait for the Norraco group to come at my university and I have to explain over and over again how I lost my card. This is so not on.
