Capitect does not wat to do business with children

I wanted to open 3 savings accounts for my 3 children, but I wasn’t allowed to open the 3 savings accounts because they each don’t have a cell phone numbers to link to their accounts. I was also told that because my wife and I already have accounts linked to our cell phone numbers that we were not allowed to open accounts for our children because each account should have their own cell phone number linked to it. This was at Capitect at Hazeldean Shooping Centre in the East of Pretoria.

I then decided to test this and went to the Capitect at the Silver Oaks Crossing. There I was told at the door that I can open savings accounts for my children without them having a cell phone number. But my children weren’t allowed to enter the bank because they are a COVID 19 risk. Only the person doing business at the bank are allowed to enter.

Why was I allowed to enter one branch with my children and at the other branch my children weren’t allowed to enter the bank? Please note that we had the necessary protective COVID 19 gear. And why at the one branch we weren’t allowed to open accounts and at the other branch we could open accounts without cell phone numbers?

My children are truly disappointed, because they were just as excited as I was when my parents opened my first account at Perm Bank. Capitect just lost 3 potential clients.
