Capitec’s slogan is a farce and so is the bank.

About a month ago I was ****med out of my hard earned money by an imposter claiming to be a real estate agent. Two days after I realised my mistake, I reached out to my bank Capitec for assistance in getting my money back. I was told to get a case number, an affidavit and proof of payment and send these documents to the forensic’s department.After countless emails and calls to forensics department I received a short email saying they cannot assist as “all monies were utilised” from the account I paid into by the time they were advised of the *****. I was advised to take the matter to the SAPS on a ******** level. After so many years of being a client, I am dismissed in such a manner.
