Capitec won't protect your money!

Pity I can't give this bank a zero star rating. My wife recently had a lot of money transferred/****** from her account. One of the latest ****s where someone calls you pretending to be from the bank (and yes, the caller ID showed up as Capitec bank). However, at no point was the transfer authorized, there was no OTP or password or any other form of access given to these *****sters by my wife. A simple phone call, that's it! Capitec responded that they couldn't recovered the funds and made it out as if this was an authorized transaction that my wife tried to reverse after the fact. We now fighting with Capitec to pay back the money that they negligently allowed to be transfer out of the account. Please do yourselves a favour, and DO NOT open an account with Capitec. They will NOT protect your money the way a bank should.
