CAPITEC-WHAT A **** UP OF A BANK

On the 24th of February, I had R5000.00 withdrawn from account and a further R10 000.00 purchase made, I immediately contacted Capitec to report the incident and have my account stopped. I advised the consultant that I did not make the transaction and to have the R10 000.00 purchase reversed, I was advised that they are unable to reverse the payment as they need to investigate. What bull **** is that, I am the account holder and as the client I am "telling" you that I want that transaction reversed as I did not make the purchase. I decided to go into the bank and again I was told by this *********** bank in not so many words " we know it’s your money but we are not willing to give it to you until the investigation is done" like ***, it’s my freaken money so don’t release the money if I say don’t. Again indicating the incompetence of Capitec. I had to leave feeling absolutely frustrated by how unhelpful Capitec was. A few days later I get a call from an agent advising me that because my pin and card was used to make the withdrawal and purchase, Capitec does not think it’s a valid dispute. So does that mean that this ****en bank is now calling me a ****en ****, did I ****en commit ***** on my own account. Sounds like this is the first time that Capitec heard of *****, perhaps I am THEE ONLY person this has happened to in this world. They made the assumption that my claim is invalid without even investigating it............WOW. I got another call by a different agent advising me of the same outcome, that Capitec will NOT refund the money that was ****** from account but they will assist in providing me with the location of where the withdrawal and purchase was made..............LOL guess what when they eventually called me back they said SORRY WE CANT HELP YOU with the location as it was not one of our ATM's............"so in a nutshell Capitec told me to **** off, give up your day job and become Sherlock Holmes overnight and go and investigate it yourself", now as a single mum of 5 every cent matters to me or to anyone for that matter, R15000 may seem like ****ol to a bank but in my world that’s my kids school fees, food to put on the table, clothes that growing kids need.............How cold can Capitec be to not even have the decency to investigate the matter, LETS SEE IF THIS MATTER GETS RESOLVED

It’s now the 21st of April 2017, I called Capitec to enquire about a transaction that I made yesterday.....I am already ****ed off with their pathetic service from my previous "***** query" in Feb, now I had the pleasure of being exposed to it once more, I called the call centre, I had to do the security questions and low and behold I failed the security questions, NOTHING HAS CHANGED IN MY WORLD, I AM STILL A FEMALE WITH THE SAME DETAILS, SAME ID NO, SAME CELL PHONE NUMBER, I have done the same security questions a million times in the past and I passed, I refused to get off the phone until it was escalated and someone was able to assist, the security check was done for the second time and I failed, the imbecile’s could not even tell me why………..I then had to do a security check for the 3rd time with a manager……..felt like an interrogation…………what part of nothing has changed in my world, my details is the same for years……I cannot tell you any different , again my blood pressure levels has been escalated due to the incompetence of this orthodox bank who clearly is still working in the Flintstone era.

Is this treating customers fairly, surely as a client you would go out of your way to assist them to ensure that the money ****** from me was recovered by the real ********, instead you give me the indication that I am the ******** here. Surely as a financial institution you have ***** insurance. As a consumer there should be ***** protection for such eventualities. Irrespective if my card was used together with my pin, does not exempt me from getting assistance from you and does not make my dispute invalid

A friend of mine had the same issue with Capitec, where there card was ****** at the ATM and the money was withdrawn………Capitec refused to pay them, where is the trust relationship here, what kind of a banking institute are you

Your service is pathetic, your methodology of doing business in a very fast paced world is beyond me.

Unfortunately I was forced to open up a new account a few years ago and regrettably I chose Capitec, I am stuck with this ****en useless bank until I change my debit orders with the new financial institution that I have opted to go with
