Capitec Useless with so-called assistance promise

I was retrenched in December 2023. I filed an application for the Unemployment Benefit on my loan account and this was approved. Installments were paid from Capitec Insurance so no issues.

I became permanently employed again in November 2024, however I had to take a massive pay cut from my previous employment.

In November 2024 I contacted Capitec bank collections on the WhatsApp channel indicating that I needed to make payment arrangements for my loan account going forward. No response was received from Capitec after I provided my ID number as requested.

Later that week I reached out AGAIN on the WhatsApp channel still indicating that I needed to make payment arrangements towards my loan account. I was then informed that my account is now in arrears. I explained the situation about the retrenchment and pay cut and made it clear that I CAN ONLY now afford much less per month repayment on my loan account going forward.

I was then told that I only have the option to have the ARREARS amount debited on my next payment date and that Capitec WILL NOT reduce my installment to WHAT I CAN AFFORD permanently. I would have to make monthly arrangements going forward. And this I have done every month since.

At no point did I try to avoid my responsibilities to make payment towards my account. I have been clear and consistent throughout my communications with Capitec. I am now getting messages telling me that my arrears amount is due immediately and when I ask for assistance on the Capitec Collections WhatsApp channel, I simply get the response "It has been noted. Enjoy your day, goodbye." So even though Capitec keeps telling me that they will be more than happy to assist with arrangements, I am basically getting ZERO help.

I have submitted a complaint to Capitec Complaints as well as Capitec Collections - ZERO feedback.

I have now reached my wits end because obviously Capitec has NO interest in assisting anyone even though they make these promises. Completely Useless comes to mind.
