CAPITEC the friend of the entrepreneur? What a farce!

CAPITEC Business Bank is disingenuous when they purport themselves to be the friend/champion of the entrepreneur, because my experience the past week disproof this claim dismally and proof they are NOT my friend. I suggest they remove the hogwash they try to sell on their website.

First, the banker who handled my application for a miniscule overdraft facility(after being a client since the inception of this department of the Bank) did not even acknowledge receipt of my application submitted on Monday, 8 Jan 2024, and did not courteously set out the steps to follow. After the week of anxiety I placed a call on Friday, 12 Jan 2024, to CAPITEC at which time she told me that she will come back to me in 10 minutes’ time. After about an hour I had to call back and she informed me the application is still in process.

Saturday morning a representative called me to inform that the application was unsuccessful. Now if you are saying this is a case of sour g****s, consider the following:

Proof of CAPITEC’s disingenuous is illustrated by their exploitation of even the poorest of the poor by CAPITEC flourishing from the sweat of the brow of the poor by extending heavily interest charged loans to the poor who they KNOW will have to return next month, just to stay afloat.

They, however, are not as eager to extend the same courtesy to us(entrepreneurs) who want to empower ourselves by making ourselves financially independent and in pursuit of that approach CAPITEC for a helping hand. My application was rejected because of “affordability” which I find pecu****, because I pay on average R 326-13 per month on banking charges towards CAPITEC and the anticipated monthly loan repayment would have been R 336-00***n loan amortization calculation).
