Capitec systems down for the 4th time in July 2016

Today, as has happened 3 times already this month, I went and did shopping. Arriving at the till with a trolley full of groceries, again, my card was declined, stating insufficient funds. I knew that there were funds in my account, so I proceeded to ask the cashier to wait for me while I went to the Capitec ATM. There, I was not able to draw money, again the message was insufficient funds. Aside from being very annoying and inconvenient, this is very embarassing. I called the client care centre. The agent who responded did not know that the systems were down, but upon checking with IT, confirmed that both ATM and swiping transactions were offline. I asked to speak to a supervisor to get some answers as to when the systems would be back online and also why we had not been notified via sms of the problem. He was very rude and unfriendly and did not provide me with a single useful answer to any of my questions. His name is Jackson Kone. The banking fees at Capitec used to be lower than other banks, but this is no longer the case, so they have no excuse for their systems being down 4 times in less than a month. They also need to provide their staff with information and train them on how to respond to customer queries and how to deal with irate customers. This is unacceptable. I will be changing banks if this continues.
