Capitec supporting and enriching *******

On 29/10/23 my bank card was cloned and swallowed at one of the Capitec ATM's. I did not even have a chance to log into my APP before the money got ****** from my account. The ATM screen also froze, and I could not even stop the card. I immediately contacted them on the WhatsApp number indicated on the side of the ATM and then called the ***** line when I reached home (call was recorded by me). The agent I spoke to said she will report the incident and that's it, not even a ref number. The next day, I went to the branch close to my home and the lady there assisted me and at least gave me proper info. I went to the Police Station and did my Affidavit and opened the case as requested and all the documents were sent by the same branch to the ***** department on 02/11/23. They said the investigation will take up to 14/ 21 days. On that next Monday, I received a SMS stating that the funds were not recoverable due to it already leaving my account. After receiving this BS SMS, I contacted them again and insisted that a complaint and further investigation be logged. Then on Monday 13/11/23 the same BS response received - ''We received your claim and unfortunately, no funds have been recovered as they were all utilized by the time matter reported.'' To the pathetic useless Capitec I would like to state the following; 1. I did not know I had to have a crystal ball handy in order to see that I would be ****** of all my remaining money and could therefore report a crime BEFORE it happened. To my knowledge, these things are reported after the fact. SO DUHH THE FUNDS WOULD HAVE BEEN UTILIZED. 2. In my affidavit I CLEARLY stated that the bulk of the funds were for a purchase made at Vodacom Durban - R5000.00 to be exact. I live in PRETORIA - if you did your investigations properly you can even see me on camera freaking out at the ATM in Silverton Mall while my money is being ****** in front of my eyes and I can't stop it. DID YOU EVEN TRY AND TRACE THE DURBAN PURCHASE???? 3. As my bank who I am supposed to trust, how are you protecting your customers from this type of theft or is it that you don't care and on the side of the ******* themselves or in cahoots perhaps? 4. I have spoken to a lot of people since this incident and was informed by 1 FNB customer, 1 Standard Bank customer and 2 ABSA customers that similar card cloning happened to them and they ALL were supported by their banks, a proper investigation was done AND they got their money back.

I will make it my life's mission to smear your name everywhere I go and NO I will not pay the R80.00 investigation fee you mention on your terms. I will close my account and look for a better bank that ACTUALLY cares about their customers and their money and not about enriching thieving assholes that are too lazy to work.
