It seems like I just can't win with Capitec Bank. I resolve one issue, just to be confronted with another issue. If you go into my history, especially the last year, it is just problem after problem.
Capitec sends me sms's about my installments due for my credit card and personal loan. This has been happening since I started with Capitec. Every month, making payments based on these sms's I received. Only problem I had was when credit card payment was debited from my Discovery account, it would reflect a week later. After fighting for months, finally changed it to EFT to avoid payments not reflecting correctly.
Now comes a new variance issue. I receive an sms stating I need to pay nearly R1500 for my credit card. So I round it up. Pay R1500. Low and behold, a week later I get an sms saying I made a partial payment. I am in arrears with R543,21.
I phone collections. Answer I receive from Vibo is that according to the Statement, I owed R2043,21.
I logged into my Capitec banking profile to see "this Statement" just to find no link to this. Upon doing so, came across another interesting variance in installment due by 25 November.
I received an sms informing me of a payment due of R2253,61. Yet when I have a look on the website and my banking app, my minimum payment is R1710,40.
Now, my questions. 1 - Why the variances in your system? 2 - Should I start requesting my Statements for my payments? 3 - If yes to #2 - Why send a sms if it is different?
I will make the payment of R543,21 that is "outstanding", as I certainly don't like the fact that I am in arrears and that you have stopped my credit insurance, even though I can see on my account that it has been deducted accordingly.
