CAPITEC SELFIE - INCOMPETENCE
I am a 67-year-old SASSA pensioner. Yesterday I received my upgrade phone A23 Samsung. A friend assisted me in transferring all my information from my old phone. When I tried to get into CAPITEC, I had to enter my account number, which I did. Then I entered my pin. Then I was told to take a SELFIE. The app kept telling me it couldn't see my face, but I could see my face clearly in the image. I phoned Capitec, they told me I had to go to the branch to activate the app on my new phone. The branch I use if more than 24 km away. Petrol is expensive. Driving in town is dangerous. Now I can't use my app, which I usually do use. The lady on the phone told me there is a problem with selfies on my new phone. How ridiculous is that? If they are aware of this, why can't I use my fingerprint instead? I am disgusted with Capitec. If they have a problem, they should deal with it and not expect elderly customers to jump through hoops.
