CAPITEC SEEM TO NO LONGER WANT NEW ACCOUNTS.

My domestic holding a Malawian passport is in SA legally and holds a valid work permit issued by Home Affairs. He went to open an account at the Cresta Branch and was told that his permit was not valid. Today he went to another branch who scanned the permit and there was no problem. He also took his pay slip but this was refused as they wanted a FULL description of his duties??????????????? He also took a Proof of Address signed by myself together with a copy of my ID and stating that he is employed by me and lives at my home. Today he was told, in my presence, that a P of A was NOT required. I called Capitec Head Office today with a simple question as to what documents were required to open a Capitec account. The answer I received was "Just his ID" When I mentioned that he was a foreigner with a valid permit she could not then tell me but went off-line to get the answer. After holding for 8 minutes I cut the call. Can Capitec not answer a simple question and advise EVERY branch what is required. The branches seem to make up their own rules.
