Capitec robbing us..

Opened a fixed account in July 2018 and set the maturity date to March 2020. When I wanted to unlock/withdraw the money five months earlier I am charged 3.4% of the capital amount, a hefty amount and the consultant couldn't explain how the amount is calculated. When I wanted to unlock in July 2019, I was advised by thecCapitec consultant to leave it a little longer to reduce the penalty fee as it will be closer to the maturity period, two months later the penalty fee has increased. We are encouraged to save money but then when you do that the same institution that is supposed to help you save is the one that is taking lots of money from you. I lost on the interest I was going to get for the next five months had I left it until maturity and I am fine with that. The problem comes when I am charged the same amount on penalty fee, this means I am loosing double the amount. What is that? They had my money for almost 15 months to do whatever they wanted with it but when it is time for me to have my money back they take money from my capital amount. This is ****************.
