Capitec reporting inaccurate information and not updating their system on closed / settled account
I have settled a capitec loan account in September and Capitec still has this loan reflecting as handed over. The account has been settled and I was informed that the account will be updated once settlement has been made, however Capitec refuses to update this. I have app**** for a home loan and the home loans are being declined due to capitec having the account as not settled. Capitec needs to update this urgently. This is ridiculous. I have called in to the legal department and have been told that the call centres cannot issue a letter stating that the loan has been settled I have to send an email which takes up to 7 days. They acknowledge the account has been settled, however does not want to update the system to reflect that it has been settled. The information that Capitec is reflecting on my name is inaccurate should state that the account has been settled on the date it was settled. This is not in a hand over process or unpaid. the loan has been paid up and should reflect as that. I also need the paid up letter urgently. TCF has been breached, in addition as to not displaying and reporting accurate information.
