Capitec-Pick n pay ASAP App

I’m writing this feeling like blowing through the roof with anger after the appalling service I’ve received from Pick ‘n Pay and their ridiculous new ASAP APP which they forcefully made us move to and which they are possibly running a money laundering scheme through.

On the 25th of September, I made a purchase of R842. When the groceries arrived, an item of R300 was missing with the App indicating that is was sold out. On the 26th of September, I made another purchase of R304. When the groceries arrived there was another missing item of R140 with the App now showing that the item is sold out. Furthermore, I was SMS’ed telling me that the R440 refund would be back in my bank account within 5 working days max.

Now, let’s begin with how ********* it is for Pick ‘n Pay to sell us sold out items in the first place, then ALLOW US to pay for them then make us wait 5 working days for that refund. Mind you, when we are grocery shopping, we are doing so with the intent of cooking etc, when that item is now sold out and you don’t refund to at least an ewallet (like you used to for us to at least purchase alternative items is sooo not considerate) alternatively, that money should be immediately/seamlessly refunded to my bank account in the same energy and urgency that the monies are deducted from our accounts so I can make other means for my groceries. That night I slept with no supper to cook for my family as I need that stewing beef for supper.

It is now the 13th of October and I still have not been refunded by R450. I have made countless calls into the Pick ‘n Pay call centre only to be sent from pillar to post and with Pick ‘n Pay pushing the blame, responsibility and accountability of my displeasure and anger to Capitec when it was their App that initiated the transaction in the first place. I contacted Capitec and they logged my enquiry to tell me that the funds have been banked by Pick ‘n Pay - I go back to Pick ‘n Pay and they say the money with Capitec - I go back to Capitec and Pick ‘n Pay and they both insisted the money is with the other.

Now when I go into my Capitec App, there is only the translation of R534 (which were the groceries I received) and it’s no longer reflecting the R842 of my initial purchase contradicting your said statement that the R308 difference has been banked by Pick ‘n Pay, Furthermore, there is no longer the transaction of R304 from the 26th either.

Capitec what on earth is going on???!!! I don’t know what daylight ******* or money laundering you guys have in agreements with Pick ‘n Pay however between the 2 of you, I want my money back.

PLEASE CAN I GET MY REFUND BACK!!!!!
