Yesterday (13/04/2022), I recieved R1000 & there was an immediate deduction of R400 into my account termed as "payment correction". I followed up with the call centre, they told me it's a correction of a transaction made 04/04/2022. According to Capitec; Exhibit A sent me R400 & I received it, it then reversed back into Exhibit A's account & the transaction was rendered unsuccessful on Exhibit A's side. Meaning the money bounced back, without anyone's interference thus the Capitec system failed. Their solution is to take the money from me without notifying exhibit A of what went on. They say they will not follow up with Exhibit A & it's on me to retrieve the funds. Needless to say Exhibit A thinks I'm pulling a fast one on them. I am now depending on their good mercies to get my money back. Waiting for Exhibit A to print out their bank statement to see if the money did "bounce back" as I told them.
Best regards,
