Capitec not helpful at all

Like a few other people, made a payment on Fishaways app and it declined but shows as pending on my capitec account. Bank says to get letter from merchant and merchant says bank must assist as it shows as pending on their side and they did not receive payment. Capitec helpline just says it's between me and the merchant, nothing they can do 😡
