Capitec lying to customers

Just found out that Capitec Bank **** to me. I was told via an email and sms the reason they declined a loan request was due to the credit beurau saying that I was under debt review. That is false as the credit bureau flag was resolved over a year ago. I was told Capitec bank does not clear you. So if that is true why not just say they don't want to assist because at some point you app**** for debt review.
