Capitec Loans are a ****....

I took a loan with Capitec in 2017 and paid my monthly payments in full via debit order. In early 2019 my financial situation changed drastically as now am a breadwinner and funding my own studies. I phoned to negotiate a reduced instalment which was granted, only to find out it's only temporary. I phoned Capitec again late 2019 try to explain and negotiate with them for a permanent/restructuring the terms of my loan, my call was answered by a very rude, unprofessional lady named Nichole Smith who said that I have exhausted my 2 chances to negotiate with Capitec. I asked her for the call recordings of such conversations, she said they are available but I can only access them at my nearest branch. Next day I took a day off and went to Capitec branch in San Arcadia-PTA the consultant phoned their head office to request for the recordings their response was they are sending them, I waited even the Branch manager phoned them 3times same response they sending them untill the branch closed at 6pm. The Branch manager said he will call me when they receive them. Even today!

Due to the none response I decided to always reverse the R4984.65 debit orders from my FNB account. In June 2020 I got a call from MBD collections telling me my account has been handed over to them. And the account capital amount is R42000 and has no fees/ charges nor interests if I make an arrangement with them, which I did to pay R1500pm. Then January 2021 I phoned MBD and asked for a balance amount as they offered me a 30% settlement discount, it took them 7days to revert to me saying they were awaiting feedback from Capitec bank CC. Then to my shock, amount is R44000... I wrote several emails and made many calls seeking a compromise discount and explanation as to where are my monthly payments going? Eventually Eleanor Cohen from MBD said Capitec is still charging interest and other monthly fees hence my amount is not reducing. I asked her about the 1st call I got in June 2020 from MBD. She then sent an email to Capitec seeking clarity on the matter. Capitec said they changed their handover accounts terms. Till this day!

Am still paying the monthly R1500 and balance still at stand still R44000... I feel financially trapped and can't even get a promotion at work due to bad credit. Can't get a Home loan to refurbish my sick mother's old house. My life is stuck...
