Capitec loan

I took a loan with capitec bank and initially I thought I could handle the repayment of R7k p/m then I had financial strains that led me to approach the for clarity because I was paying them well but my balance remained stagnant and never became less, why the loan amount isn't reduced only to find out I was paying off the interest which to me wasn't explained thoroughly but now I went to negotiate the payment amount from R7k to R5k but no mahn... I'm still not impressed and I can't get a solid explanation as to why I'm paying for such high interests and I'm thinking of changing banks as I feel I'm being ****** and exploited... For the past 3 to 4 months my balance hasn't changed yet I still paying them and never skipped payment... Any advice on which bank is less evil because wow
