Capitec let *****sters in

I’m honesty so upset with Capitec! After making a payment for something, I look at my account in the night to see if everything is okay and instead I see that there had been money deducted 2 days ago and reference says “Facebk ads”! And worst “recurring payment”! How did Capitec think that this was a valid transaction? I put my limit to zero while I reported this transaction. And then I see another transaction for this supposed Facebook ads, bounce! And then Capitec charged me for that! How is it my fault that I’m being ******? I stopped the card. I reported the *****. But I’m extremely upset about this and am worried for my elderly mother that’s also banking with Capitec.

Reviewer Update
I am requesting the following proof as part of the investigation, which any proper ***** review should include:

  1. 3-D Secure / OTP logs – confirmation whether an OTP was triggered, including the number or email it was sent to.
  2. IP address and device logs – the IP address, device, and location from which my card was used.
  3. Merchant (Meta/Facebook) logs – the ad account ID, profile ID, timestamps of the card being added, and the billing information used.
  4. AVS/CVV verification results – to confirm whether the billing details matched mine.
  5. Any evidence that I personally authorised this transaction, as required by Visa/Mastercard rules.

This is extremely unacceptable to just let my money go.
