Capitec is working with ********

My mom was ****med on the 10/02/2021 in Johannesburg at the moosa place when he was going to buy blankets and other things that she wants to sell in our community to earn income as she was retrenched at work in 2020 during covid pandemic.

She was ****med by people dressed as cell c consultant , the approached her and told her that they are changing sim cards to new sim cards and that she must bring her old cell c sim card in exchange of the new sim card and that she will still have her same number just that they are changing the sim card , she than gave her the sim card which is registered with capitec for cell phone banking.

Later that day when i got home and asked her about the new number sue was calling me with as she called me on wednesday/10 feb in the evening , i asked her if she changed number but she said she didn't change number and she explain to me what happened and she was offered to change sim cards, i immediately told her that she might have been ****med and then changed her balance on the capitec app and it showed that her R3000 was withdrawn from her account, we then called the call centre to inform them about this but the surprising thing is how did they know her cell phone banking pin as when you do a cash send or transfer to a capitec account a cell phone banking pin is required to approve the transfer ...we asked them about this but they can not answer us instead they advise us to open a police case.
