CAPITEC IS THE WORST BANK IN SOUTH AFRICA

A few weeks ago to be more specific on the 12th of November my wife went to a local ATM to withdraw money from my account with that the machine swallowed my card she phoned the call center to block the card and asked if any transactions were made on my account and the consultant told her NO, then she phoned back a few minutes back to make sure the card was blocked and anther consultant told her my that yes the card has been blocked, so at around 3:52pm I received messages that money was going off on account in a place I don't even live in.

So here starts my problem I then phoned them again once all this transactions sms's came trough and they told me that all this transactions happened the morning before my card was blocked and that they had a delay in there sms's, so where is this my problem because if I received my 1st sms the time of the transaction I would have known that someone else is withdrawing a large amount of money from my account.

Then the next day I went into a branch in Alberton to report wat has happened, The bank manager tried his best to help me, but the call center was very very unprofessional as they could not even find the recordings of the previous day they, then they told the bank manager that I went into a branch to block my card that is why they could not find any recordings, but was not able to tell me which branch I went to.but funny of all they found the last recording but not the one where my wife blocked the card and was told that no transactions were done on my account.

Then the branch manager told me as soon as they send him the recordings he would email it to, as soon as I got home I received a sms say that they acknowledge my claim of unauthorized transactions they will get back to me in 8 working days, then just after that I received a call from the branch manager saying that he still hasn't gotten feed back as yet, but how can they inform me by sms and the manager that has placed my claim then today after 10 days I received a call from them today and that they would not refund me because the money was withdrawn from my account before I blocked the card and that they are sorry to tell me that my wife as been a victim of atm *****, and the consultant was also very rude to me as a customer.

So this is my question yes we could have been victims of ATM ***** but wat policy's do they have in place to protect they customers, and anther thing the time of this transactions keep changing today's time was different to the time they gave to the branch manager and to me when I phoned them, and then I was told that the consultant was not surpassed to tell my wife wat was going on in my account, but she told her and that doesn't make it my problem she did tell her and now all of a sudden they could not find the recording of the consultant saying that.fact of the matter is my wife was told no transactions were done on my account and even if it wasn't me my wife did it on my behalf as I was at work and could not make the call.

How all this looks to me the Capitec never did a investigation and if they did where did they find the recording so they couldn't find on the day I went to put in the claim and why did the time change of the transaction so I'm sure by statement was altered so they could not be held responsible.

All I'm trying to say is that Capitec customers u will be losing a lot of money over the December period if you are victims of ***** and the bank that promises to deliver better service will not be interested in helping you.
