Capitec is inconsiderate and do as they please with peoples hard earned money

The court has now made it clear that, in terms of section 124 of the NCA, the creditor must obtain the consumer's authorisation to transfer funds from the consumer's bank account to settle the debt owed by the consumer to the creditor.

Capitec: Your savings account has a negative balance. We app**** set-off, which means R856.14 was debited to account *** and R856.14 credited to account *** to partially recover the negative balance. Outstanding balance: R3676.03. Info ***

With the above SMS sent to me. Please reverse whatever you have done and wait for my payment arrangement. I want that money back into my account now today.

I am lodging a complaint with NCA and the ombudsman. Fix it now. You didn't get permission from me to do that
