Capitec is compromised

My mom asked me to write this on her behalf. On the 31st December 2024,her banking app was downloaded elsewhere and thw person managed to unfix her savings amounting to 40K all at once,we opened a case with capitec and they can confirm that someone called the bank and asked for the money to be accessed anytime,the person went on to register apple pay and made transactions and updated limits as well 😣😣😣This is disappointing and frustrating for someone who's been saving the whole year,for her money to be gone in less than 24hrs.
