Capitec IS a loan shark!

I took out a personal loan with Capitec in 2014 for 100K. My repayment was R3849 for 45 months. In June 2017 I ask to reschedule the loan after earning a less at a new job. They extended the loan by 6 months during which I paid R2000, but after the 6 months the repayment was and still is R3577 a month. I now have 18 months left of 51 months of repayments. On my app it shows I owe R50K, but when I went into the bank to ask for a settlement amount it was almost R52K-- this has to be *******, its like Pick and Pay asking R50 for an item but when you get to the till they charge you R52. Can someone pls explain to me how the settlement amount is more than I owe. Also, please explain how I can still owe more than half on a loan if I have already paid two thirds of the period. Also, please explain how you relentlessly quote the Credit Act of 2005 but forget all about the consumer act of 2017 when a new contract was agreed to between us.

I now believe all the bad publicity to be true, Capitec is a loan shark who traps people into debt by finding loopholes to utterly destroy them financially and keeping them dependent on debt. That's how you can ask lower monthly fees by literally robbing people with loans. I was hoping to get a bit ahead now in life, but thanks to Capitec I'm in a sinkhole of debt. I am utterly disgusted, I am going to the ombudsman, consumer act commision and if anyone from Viceroy is reading this, feel free to contact me if you need input from Capitec clients, Im sure all the other people being ****** in the same way complaining on this forum won't mind talking to you either.

I have already opened an account with another bank, I will pay my loan off as soon as possible, I just hope the hard earned money you are *****ing from your clients are worth it in the end!

Ms. Appollis Thank you for the feedback. My question is, according to your CEO Gerrie Fourie "A rescheduled loan is not considered a new loan, so we don’t charge any additional fees. But by law it is a new agreement. My rescheduling was done in June 2017 AFTER the new NCA amendments which caps how much interest you can charge on a personal loan has come into effect. So, if it is by law a NEW agreement as acknowledged by your CEO, why does it still fall under the NCA regulations of 2005 as stated on the contract? The max interest rates for unsecured loans such as personal loans is 28%. How are you still charging me 30.85% then? I am an honest person with integrity, when I was retrenched in October 2016 I still made a plan to pay you every month. The option of having the debt paid off due to retrenchment was never offered to me by Capitec, once again other people are complaining about the option not being offered to them when they visit their Capitec branch either. What insurance or any other unnecessary fees am I charged for in the loan which I do not in reality have at my disposal? I would like a breakdown of that too please so that I can cancel that.
