Capitec is a haven for cyber ********s and ****sters. Sadly, I was ****med of my life savings on 12 August 2024, with Capitec being the main vehicle used by the ****sters. Within a period of 5-7 hours, Capitec allowed large sums of money to be laundered, without any checks or balances, or raising any alarm, as any other bank would have done. Although Standard Bank was able to secure the blocking of a Capitec account which holds a small portion of my money, 2 months later they have not transferred the money, and has not responded to any queries. Capitec should be investigated by the financial authorities and the Hawks for their role in cybercrime and financial ****s!!
