Capitec is a **** and ***** bank they are robbing us our hard earned cash daylight

ATM froze with my card inside and had to stop my card on the app, today had to go and replace my card which was only 2 or 3 month old. I was charged R70 for the card replacement which I feel it’s ***** from Capitec , the card was still new and working sharp and their ATM decided to freeze with my card inside then it rebooted and didn’t take out my card. I’m just wondering, how many people does it happen to them and when replacing a card you get charged it’s a **** which is done by capitec and I won’t pay a card wichwas taken by an ATM. The consultant told me that they will have to charge me even after explaining to him what happened because he tell me they don’t have proof that the card was right and why it was taken by the ATM. I think they are doing this deliberate to generate income for them as a bank and it’s wrong it’s our hard earned cash that they are robbing us. I won’t keep quite until I get my money and if it means I change banks so be it. We supporting black empowerment but they failing us as a local bank and pray people see them for who they are.

I’ve called Capitec Bank customer service complaints department about the issue and they were all saying the same thing about having to pay for the card replacement fee. Yesterday a lady called me and told me that they have decided to refund me for the card replacement fee after all. I’m happy that the final saw that it was not my fault the card got stuck inside the ATM, while it froze with the card inside and after rebooting it didn’t realise the card. Today woke up to find the money was credited back to my account. Thanks Capitec Bank, for your assistance really appreciate it a lot.
