Capitec Bank, Somerset Mall. Most of the people reviewing a Company , Business or Bank on Hello Peter , start with a complaint. In this instance I would like to compliment Capitec,at Somerset Mall. What a refreshing experience from the old world method of banking. From the moment I entered the bank ,there was a welcoming atmosphere , friendly smiles from the staff at the door ,the bankers and general bank staff. I had recently moved to Capitec from a banking institution with whom I have banked for more than fourty years. I had a issue with trying to to pay for a service initially outside of the country, but had created a presence in South Africa. The banker I saw ,what a star he proved to be, unbelievable,he had my problem sorted in no time at all. The older banks better sit up , take note of where these fellows are going, and what they are doing for their clients , These employees ,enthusiastic ,very very well trained friendly and want to give you of their best, none of that old style , now what does this fool want now again attitude . Capitec actually have a Branch Manager, have you seen a branch manager in those older banks, not ever have I seen such a soul, one simply gets directed to a call center manned, I think by idiots, very similar to the ones working in their branches. Very well done Capitec, I made the move, to a better banking experience.
