Capitec Howick a waste of time.
I went into Howick Capitec as I'm starting a business and need a card machine for my business. First the lady just gives me a number to call and I leave. Once I've called the number I'm told I must go back to the bank to get a statement.. this could have been done on my first visit. Then today I'm there to get a statement and the bank refused to help me because I won't put down my finger print!! This is *******!! I haf my bank card and my SA I'D document! I asked for the bank manager but they clearly don't know the laws of this country either!

29 Jul 2020, 16:30The bank manager has called me. Thank you very much for that, unfortunately the news is if you don't want to touch the disgusting fingerprint reader you can't bank with Capitec. ID books means nothing anymore we can throw them away it seems. I will be checking with a lawyer if this is legal.

How do you access my account to send statements etc ? How do you work on people's accounts ?? Do you have some spare fingers lying around? You guys are pathetic ! In the time we living you want everyone to touch the same dirty scanner !! Yes your hands get sanitized at the door.. does the rest of you get sanitized... no. So how clean are your scanners ??
