CAPITEC GIVING INSURANCE A WHOLE NEW MEANING
I have taken out a loan in September 2019. Due to Covid 19, I was retrenched. I went to Capitec to inform them, they gave me forms to fill in. Luckily my loan was covered by their insurance which was approved, settlement 60 days, being end of October 2020. Now they're sending me a letter telling me that I owe them the full loan amount. Should I fail to do so, legal proceedings will be instituted against me. Is the purpose of the insurance, not that it covers you in the event of you loosing your job. I thought that was the purpose of an insurance to cover you due to loss, burglary etc. Evidently it is not the case with Capitec.
