Capitec Funeral Policy Debit Failure
I opened funeral insurance for me and my relatives; debit is supposed to go off on the 25th of every much. Last month the 25th was on a Friday and I expected them to deduct on that day as it was not on a weekend, for some reasons known to them they did not deduct. On the 30th of last month they sent the following message, "You missed your funeral payment plan FP***6". Amazingly on the day of the message my FNB account had more than R700.00 and their payment is only R339.60. Soon they are going to tell me that the policy has lapsed, and this is not the first time my policy has lapsed because of their incompetency. Please help me this time.

08 Aug 2025, 13:14Capitec Bank came back to me, to my surprise my Funeral policy is linked with my Capitec account though I have never banked with them and I never will. That is another level of incompetency and the reason for that is their consultants who are always nagging people to change banks and I find that to be very annoying. One day I went there for a loan and I was very uncomfortably because the manager there was actually telling me to change Banks, they must stop that nonsense of trying to tell adults what to do. I want Capitec to deal with the person who opened the funeral policy for me decisively. What if I lost a relative covered in that policy?
