Capitec Funeral Plan_SUCKS!!!
I've submitted a funeral claim yesterday at 8h06 and since yesterday I called several times to ensure that the correct documents is attached. The call centre agents is giving various feedback and today I was told that documents including the claim is still being reviewed/assessed. The is almost finished and we have a funeral to arrange and no Capitec does not seem to be bothered. Other institutions such as Old Mutual have already paid out family members. Nevertheless, the response I get is that they payout takes up to 48 hours, seriously!! I recommend that specially Muslims should NOT consider Capitec.

Totally unacceptable as my Father died of natural causes in hospital, and I provided all the required documentation. Also, I want to refer to Capitec's response via email, it was just a confirmation of receiving my claim and nothing else.
I would not recommend anyone to take Capitec Funeral cover, the service is appalling and they are even oblivious to complaints raised on public platform. In my opinion they are a corporate company who take advantage of the vulnerable majority of people.
