Capitec *****

On the 9th September i was victim of phishing whilst doing online transaction. I opened a case ***** at Amanzimtoti police station with a case no. 175/9/2019. It all did not start well as the detective i was allocated was so unprofessional, on the first appointment, he made me go to the police station for nothing. I lost an amount of R 7500.00, when i was buying the Bitcoin from Luno company. The person who hacked me pretended to be from Luno, and enquired as to which i banked with and provided me with an account number from Capitec bank, as i bank with this scary ********** bank. The investigations have been going on and the Captain who ended up with my case at Amanzimtoti police station, ( Captain Nyawose), ended up coming to my offices on Tuesday, to report his findings. He showed me the details of the person in whose account my R 7500.00, went to. Apparently, the person concerned Thulisile E Buthelezi, never opened an account with Capitec bank. She stays in Newcastle and the account was opened in Bridge city (KwaMashu), and it was withdrawn in Johannesburg ( Comaro and Steeldale). He came with the same detective i said, i do not want to deal with as i do not trust he will do the proper job, if he could not honour the first appointment. People should be aware of Capitec. ***** is a reality at that bank. The cops told me , Capitec , refused to provide copy of identity for the person who opened the account, as you need FICA, documents in order to open the account. I am shuttered, to learn that , Capitec would defeat the ends of just, by not giving the so called cops, all the documentation they require. Something is very dodge, between the cops and Capitec.
