Capitec forcing clients to keep credit card accounts open.

I had requested a settlement letter with the full outstanding balance on my credit card so that i could pay it off and thereafter close the credit card account. I paid the amount stipulated. When i go to the Phoenix branch to close of the credit card acc i was assisted by Fatima Hassan whom has go to be the most *********** and rude consultant i have ever had to deal with. First and foremost she says that in order to request closure a client must pay a further 32.00 which i did . Then says i will have to wait 45 days for the account to be closed and to get a letter. My question is why ? Capitec issued a settlement figure, the full amount was paid. Why is capitec refusing to close off the credit card ? Is this a tactic to used to maybe entice the client to use the credit card again. Now as a client i am forced to have a credit card with capitec which as a client i dont need or want. The consultant that assisted could not answer any of these questions. Instead she started raising her voice , speaking over me and stated that's just the process theres nothing i can do if you dont understand. The most *********** consultant at Capitec. I demand answers as to why capitec is refusing to close my credit card with immediate effect and why can capitec not issue a letter immediately confirming that this account is paid up. As a client we are being forced to bank with Capitec !!!
