Capitec flagged money as *****ulent

I had someone purchase a few secons hand car parts from me, he promised to pay, and finally after 3 months he paid R500 after i threatened to go to the police (the total was R1500). I then proceeded to pay the money over to my husband, who is at FNB, because i had Lost my capitec card. On the 17th of February, Capitec then flagged that money as *****ulent, and my husbands account was blocked. Capitec now says they cannot communicate with FNB about the matter. I do have a suspition that the guy tried to reverse the money or something, as i found out later that he is a **** artist. The day before my husbands account was put on hold, i asked the guy for the remainder of the money, and he let me know he is at the bank, which does now make sense as my husbands account was blocked the morning after.
