Capitec Failing to Update Credit Bureaus Despite Paid-Up Letter

I am writing to formally raise a concern regarding Capitec’s failure to update the credit bureaus with the correct status of my paid-up Access Facility account (Account Number: ***).

This account was resolved, and I was issued a Paid-Up Letter by Capitec. I dealt directly with Zenobia Ngoma, a Complaints Management Officer, who confirmed that the necessary updates to the credit bureaus would be made by the end of March 2025.

It is now well past that date, and despite receiving confirmation from Capitec, the negative information remains on my credit profile. This inaction is negatively affecting my credit score and overall financial reputation, which I find highly unacceptable given that I have met all my obligations.

I urgently request that Capitec:

Immediately action the promised update to all relevant credit bureaus, Provide confirmation in writing once this has been done, Explain why there has been a delay in updating the credit records despite prior assurances.

If this matter is not resolved swiftly, I will be left with no choice but to escalate the issue to the National Credit Regulator (NCR) and Ombudsman for Banking Services for further intervention.
