Capitec error, client must suffer

R500 Cash Withdraw at ATM

R0.00 Dispensed

Statement on slip reads YOUR ACCOUNT REFLECTS THE DISPENSED AMOUNT

Yet, R500 was deducted from account and Capitec staff say it will take up to 14 days to investigate.

Surely if their OWN slip showed R0.00 dispensed AND their own slip stated that the R0.00 dispensed amount will be reflected on account, they can't deduct R500 and the client must then wait up to 14 days for that money to reflect in his account again.

What about people that only "had" that money for food etc????

If we as clients made "errors" not money in the bank etc, then we are charged with hefty "fines" so am I also entitled to a similar "fine"?

ATM's are normally reconcilled daily and with the machine that went down a technician would most likely already checked the machine so up to 14 days is a bit extreme. Oh and by the way I hope your customers also have up to 14 days after due payment to pay their loans, without any penalities or fees.
