CAPITEC DO AS THEY LIKE

I have an Access Facility account (revolving credit) with Capitec. On Friday, 07 October 2022, I received the following sms from Capitec "your access facility’s credit limit was decreased from R23,600.00 to R21,200.00”. No phone call nothing, just that sms. I then went onto my bank app to find that all the credit that I was accumulating was gone. Capitec went and use the credit I was trying to build on my account, to decrease my credit limit. Take note that was NOT the agreement I had with Capitec. The agreement I DO have with them was as I pay may account my credit will increase again and that will be available to me. I sent Capitec an email explaining the situation. On 10 October 2022 I received an email back with incident number# ***2 that they regret the problems I was experiencing and will escalate the matter to their Credit Assessment Department. On the same day I sent an email again requesting how long the process will take. On 11 October 2022 I received and email from Capitec stating the following "Kindly be advised, based on our Credit Assessment department findings, you have app**** for new credit within the last 6 months, the balances of these accounts have increased since inception. Based on new credit, the increase of balances, the Access Facility has decreased." I was stupefied. Really??? I pay may account on time, every month without fail but Capitec decided because I have APP**** for credit they deemed, without talking to me, to take the credit I WAS building in MY account to decreased it by taking the credit away I was accumulating. And the best part is nowhere in the agreement between myself and Capitec is there a clause that give them the authority to do so and the best part of it all was, THEY DIDN'T EVEN SPOKE TO ME ABOUT IT before they TOOK the credit on my account and NOW, they want to say that they decreased my credit. Yes, Capitec did take my CREDIT. Credit I was busy building up. I didn't give them the go ahead for this. I wouldn't have because I used that credit as an emergency fund or if I need something that I can't wait for later to do. Capitec didn't have my permission to do that, and they did it without my consent. The did not speak to me about it at all and a sms does not give anyone the right just to do as they like, and that includes Capitec as well. I send numerous emails, but have they started ignoring all my emails. I have also requested assistance from the Ombudsman for Banking Services because Capitec's actions are unacceptable. Mean if I didn't pay my account as agreed upon in time, then by all means BUT I have been meeting all the requirements set out in the agreement THUS have Capitec no right to do what they did. I want my credit to be reinstated.

Aaahhh please, it is basically the same message that was sent to me by email from Capitec, and I am still waiting. Promises and promises and some more empty promises. What I can promise you, and mine is not empty like Capitec's, is that I will not leave it there.
