I have had enough of Capitec Bank taking people for a ride.
I am extremely disappointed and fustrated and will be changing my bank soon.
I had recently taken out an Access Facility which was approved for R10 000 in September last year over 3 months. Being that this was revolving credit I har budgeted myself into accommodating the monthly interest and thereafter reusing the balance remaining for my other debits and expenses.
Due to me taking up credit with other financial institutes , Capitech sends me a letter stating that my Access Facility has been reduced to R4500, and if I am unable to make repayments , I should notify them.
After calling the ClientCare number and going back and forth trying to get help , the Collections Department contacted me back and I had explained to the consultant my situation all she said was they cannot do nothing and yet I am clearly stating I would not beable to manage as once the next debt goes off , there would be no funds available for me to reuse for other accounts.
After this message I am sure another consultant will call me only to tell me that once again nothing can be done.
Story in a nut shell , guys please becareful of Capitec as they do not help their customers and they can change agreements anytime based on your credit buera data.
I dont see what is the sence of stating in the letter that I should notify them if I cannot make repayments when they cannot do anything to assist.
I am currently looking at options such as changing my bank where my salary is being dropped and thereafter going to court and paying back what I can afford on a monthly bases. I am also opened to other options as well.
I will also be posting on social media and alerting the public of my incident to create awarness so that other people may avoid the stress that I am currently under.
Best regards,
