Capitec disappointment in ***** case

On the 26 of may I was ****** at a red light on my way from work. He held me by knifepoint and took my phone and all the cash I had with me. I immediately drove to my mother's work to let vodacom know that they needed to block my SIM. I didn't think that it would have to block my capitec app as it had to password on it and should have been safe. the following morning I went and I got a new phone did a sim swap and when I did the sim swap I received messages saying that they're had been several withdrawals on my credit card account using the app. I immediately phoned capitec to find out what was happening and they informed me that there had been purchases done on my credit card via cardless transactions at different ATMs and then as well there was airtime bought and cash send done to an fnb account . I asked them to block my app and then went to a capitec branch. They said they would open a ticket for me with the ***** Department. about a month later they still hadnt contacted me so I contact them via email and also contacted capitec via phone. Eventually the ***** department contacted me back and informed me as even though it was a legitimate case they will not be able to do anything as FNB wouldn't give the information of the person whose account the money was transferred to as well as they did not do refunds for the cash withdrawals that were done from ATM's or the airtime bought. They said I could contact the claims department regarding a way to handle the monthly debit order that I would have to pay. After an hour of being transfered to different departments and being hug up on 4 times I finally spoke to someone that Informed me I would have to pay back the 15 thousand and that they could do nothing about it. I said it was an ongoing case and I did not use the money but they just kept telling me it wasn't their problem and they could do nothing about the payments. Instead of capitec handling my case and helping me they started emailing and messaging me constantly about me paying for the money that was ******. I have decided I will not be paying the money that was ****** out of my account until capitec takes responsibility and help me to find the person that has done this to me. I have received no support from capitec regarding the matter. I do not recommend ever opening a capitec account. They are no help and very rude. They have not been sympathetic in regard to this traumatic event in my life. I really needed them to step up but instead I was severely disappointed.
