Capitec decline credit card but approve loan
<p>Today I went to Capitec to apply for a credit card. I bank with Capitec and it's inconvenient to have my account there and my credit card at another bank. I app**** for a credit card 3 times this year and it keeps on getting declined. And with each application they are willing to give me a loan of + R50 000 and a credit facility of R 5000. But they decline a credit card due to affordability??? My gross is R120 000pm and my nett R79000pm with more than R20 000 available for extra debt according to your banker. So if affordability was the issue can you please email me a detailed explanation of why you would offer me 50000 loans and 5000 credit facility but decline my credit card. Now I have to move back to my previous bank where I can have my bank account and credit card at the same bank. A await the detailed explanation. Please email only. </p>

I received a response on 18 july from Nicole Juries that she will look into my issue. I have had no response since then. I guess I have to put another complaint on Hellopeter.
