Capitec debits most of my money
i got a loan with capitec i have been retrenched from work informed the bank about it and put in a claim with the retrenchment policy claim wasnt approved because they said i was on contract which capitec knew when they gave me the loan i wasted money going to the bank and back to work to complete a form just to tell me it wasnt approved, the consultant kim said nothing to me about payment arrangments or anything else, i left and assumed everything is sorted because i got no more calls from capitec, a few weeks later i had a total of R20 000 deposited into my account which was my provident fund and uif money together capitec deducts an amount of R16 000 i was left with only R4 000, i am unemployed and got a baby and wife to take care of not to mention other debt as well i was only notified of a R7 000 being deducted via sms and that was it. i have laid a complaint and consultant megan told me if no payment arrangments were made it cannot be reversed. i am really dissapointed i lost my job because of company restraints yet the retrenchment policy can't pay out if this is how capitec treats clients then i would rather pay more at another bank than bank with capitec again.
