Capitec ******! ***** retrenchment money transferred for Medicine!
I was recently retrenched where I was paid out by my company, capitec thought they could help themselves to half my retrenchment payout and pay it towards my loan this took place on the 25th May, then the 31st of May my bank account was debited again for a loan installment even though I informed capitec that I was retrenched and took them the documents and they told me sorry we can't refund your money, after numerous emails no one has had the decency to bother helping me or responding the response I got was that my bank account number was incorrect which it's not, fast forward to today my calim was approved but the provider hasn't paid it out yet and capitec decided to run a debit order to take my installment and it wasn't successful so they decided to take my son's medicine money that was transferred into my account by my medical insurance so I am unable to go and get his medication thanks to capitec, I read up that the high Court ruled that it is ******* for any bank to transfer any money from account to account i want to know what makes capitec exempt from this, capitec are ****** and have put me I'm the worst financial situation I have ever found myself in. I asked for their escalation process and didn't get a response either I don't know where to go or what to do anymore because it seems like capitec bank can't even assist me.
