Capitec consultant explicitly told me she cannot help me with an issue that has to do with THE BANK!!!
There is an unknown debit order on my account from Stan Exec. I reversed the debit order and stopped it then went into the Evaton Mall branch to get more information of this and to make sure it doesn't happen again. This was on 15 December 2023, around 9h00. When I walked in, the lady at the front asked me to go to the machine where I can reverse the debit order and stop it. I told her again, since she missed this part in my initial explanation that I'm here because I want to know how the debit order was authorised without my consent and how we can prevent that from happening in future. She said they can't help but the second consultant asked her to print out a ticket for me so one of the consultants can have a look.
The consultant I went to went into my account and confirmed what I already knew that the debit order is from Stan Exec and I've reversed it. I explained more than once that I want to know how that happened and how we can prevent it from happening in future. She told me there's nothing she can do for me, I must cal Stan Exec and find out why they're taking my money. I asked her to give me their contact details because I couldn't find anything about them on the internet, she told me to Google it because there's nothing she can do about it.
This is disturbing because if the bank itself cannot help in these cases then what's the point of there being a bank? I'm better off with my money under my mattress coz it's the same thing! I will be closing my account because at this point, I think the bank works with these ****mers. The debit order goes off, I get charged a debit order fee, then when I reverse it, I still get charged a fee. Either way the bank wins, I'm done with Capitec. I have been with you since 2011 and never had any issues but the first issue I have, I'm told the bank cannot help? Today it's R150, tomorrow it will an even bigger amount, then what? I'm out shame
