Capitec Charged interrest in settlement

I went to capitec bank 2 months back to check what the settlement amount was on my personal loan, i was given R83000 as an estimate, yesterday i went back money in in-hand to settle and i was told even though the capital amount owed is R82000 the settlement is R84000 and i was given a long speech by the branch manager as to how they have to charge me interest, in looking closely at the settlement letter i realized they put the 23rd of October as the settlement date even though i was settling the same day.<br> <br> This is ridiculous as i did settle with another service provider and i was not charged more than the outstanding capital owed.
