Capitec changes debit order dates as they please without prior communication
I took an Access facility loan from Capitec Bank. They then deducted my instalment for this loan on the 24th of the month in stead of the 30th which is my salary date. I phoned them to correct this, but I was told the only way to change the debit order date was to e-mail them. So I did. After a week, I haven't heard back so I put in leave and sat in the branch for more than 3 hours to change my debit order date. Finally it was changed. Which was all okay, but now 2 months later Capitec decided to deduct my instalment on the 19th in stead of the 30th as they've decided I got an early salary, which is not the case. I'm only getting paid on the 30th, even in December. Now they are refusing to reverse the debit order and deduct it on the 30th as per our agreement. The instalment is deducted via a Debicheck debitorder from another bank where my salary is paid to. They said the external bank has to reverse the debit order, but only the creditor can change debicheck debit orders. They are willing to reverse it into my capitec savings account, but want to deduct it again on the 24th which is still not the correct date and if I can't pay on the 24th I will get a penalty for not paying on time and it will go onto my credit score. You can't just change debit order dates without any communication! I will never recommend banking with Capitec to anyone!
