Capitec cannot protect your Money
<p>Good day</p> <p>My name is Cameron.</p> <p>I'm writing this email with tears in my eyes. I'm extremely disappointed with your client care department. I have the reference numbers of the calls. All related documents were submitted at Capitec bank.</p> <p><br />ON the 4th of February 2017 I asked my mother to do some shopping for me but then she called to say where is no money in my account. All my details should be on the Capitec system, statements, and forensics. With regards to the R3000 that went missing. The Police in Atlantis advised that a few people had the same situation happen to them, lucky for them they had no money in their accounts.</p> <p>Can the bank please refund my money seeing that the evidence show that I got ****med and it wasn't negligence on my side. Someone withdrew the money in JHB. The amount of R3000 was left from a loan I made for my baby.... now it's gone. I'm 7 months pregnant and wanted to use that money for my baby. I still need to repay the money which I never used.</p> <p>Without sympathy the consultant's advised that the bank cannot do anything. My question for Capitec is ... "You confirm that money is not safe with Capitec?"</p>

Hi Cameron
In relation to our telephonic conversation earlier on today, Capitec Bank cannot be held liable for ********** transactions on clients’ accounts under circumstances where the Bank was neither a party to the transactions nor in a position to prevent it. Unfortunately the biggest factor remains that your PIN and card was compromised in some way which is why these transactions were authorised.
If you have opened a case with the SAPS then they will conduct an investigation in an effort to track down the actual *********(s) involved in this unfortunate incident.
Once again I do apologise for the inconvenience and frustration this matter might have caused you.
